Helium

Helium is essential to our everyday life, even though most people are completely unaware of its existence, outside of party balloons.

Medical, Industrial and Governmental uses are numerous. Used in breathing mixes for diving commercially and recreationally as well as in medical applications. MRI machines rely on helium to keep the enormous magnets cool while in use as does the Large Hadron Collider located at the CERN facility near the border of France and Switzerland.

Industrial uses include airbags, barcode scanners, extreme cooling for large data servers, think cloud providers and streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and Sling.

NASA and other space service companies use helium to cool systems and push fuel through the rockets.

Helium operates in the background of every town in the United States as well as around the world.
